Fundraising

Key to the success of Tri for a Cure - other than our athletes crossing the finish line with jubilant smiles on their faces - is fundraising. Your collective enthusiasm, determination, and generosity have enabled Maine Cancer Foundation to fund cutting edge, Maine based cancer research, education and patient support programs, in new and effective ways. We are so grateful for your efforts!

Following is a list of incentives available in 2011 for women achieving various fundraising levels.

Please note: prizes are subject to availability. Maine Cancer Foundation reserves the right to substitute items of equal value should items become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

GRAND PRIZE
Awarded to the Top Fundraiser as of July 28, 2011 at 7pm

  • Weekend vacation package for two at Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, ME
  • Public recognition at the TFAC Race Day awards ceremony
  • TFAC logo fleece in designated Top Ten color
  • Free entry to the 2012 Tri for a Cure Triathlon

TOP TEN FUNDRAISERS
Awarded to the top ten fundraisers as of July 28, 2011 at 7pm

$2,000 AND ABOVE
Awarded to every woman surpassing $2,000 as of July 28, 2011 at 7pm

  • Guaranteed spot (not a free entry) in the 2012 Tri for a Cure triathlon
  • TFAC TRIumphant Circle tri gear bag with shoe pocket
  • Headsweats” visor or hat
  • TFAC tri towel

$1,000 AND ABOVE
Awarded to every woman surpassing $1,000 of July 28, 2011 at 7pm

$500 AND ABOVE
Awarded to every woman surpassing $500 as of July 28, 2011 at 7pm

  • TFAC tri towel

Each athlete reaching the $350 fundraising minimum prior to the start of the race will receive a performance race shirt and a commemorative race bag.

All prizes will be awarded based on fundraising totals accrued as of July 28, 2011, at 7pm. This is the official cut-off for the fundraising totals. Donations to your fundraising page will still be accepted after that, but will not be counted toward fundraising prizes. Fundraising prizes will be distributed at packet pick-up.
