Colorectal Cancer Screening for Vulnerable Populations

Through the use of Community Health Outreach Workers, this two-year project will identify and work to overcome barriers to colorectal cancer screening among Portland’s low-income, underserved black, white, and Hispanic high-risk populations, and will provide tailored outreach, education, and assistance to these groups aimed at reducing the disparities in colorectal cancer incidence, prevalence, and mortality they are known to experience.
